Overview Of The Texts
These texts start on May 25, the day I picked up my car. I paid for the entire job even after seeing how awful the work was, because I was not going to refuse to pay and take my car. I took the photos shown on this site when I got home and wrote this email to Signature.
I got a voice mail from Kim S. that day, which is where these texts start.
6 weeks later, nothing had been done to the car to re-wrap the car as agreed. She would not give me photos of the car after I asked to see what it's status was. When the photos did come, I was not told the truth about when they were taken, as proven by the meta data in the photos.
I was being lied to, so I paid $500 to go pick up the car to take it to BMW to reattach the front bumper and paint, which I had already paid for in the $10,750 I paid to Signature in the first place.
The texts start out friendly. Kim fully acknowledged Signature's responsibility in our phone calls, was transparent about Mike having someone not qualified outside the business to do the wrap and offering to pick the car up and take it to be re-wrapped. Looking back, I shouldn't have done it but I figured I had a decent shot at them doing the right thing.
Then it took 2 weeks to pick the car up. First red flag. I will say that I told Kim that the car was not a big rush and we had 2 other cars to drive. What I didn't realize was that they would literally do nothing for 6 weeks and lie to me in the process.
On June 30, I finally decided to fins out what was going on, and if they were not doing anything, I needed to get my car out of there. You can see multiple attempts to get a straight answer failed. it was July 21 when I got photos and I was not getting the truth to put it mildly.
They literally tore the yellow wrap off the car, leaving it stuck under the lights and trim and LEFT THE BUMPER that they said went to paint IN THE PHOTO at left.
Getting the bumper properly painted and cured, adds 4 weeks to the process. So after 6 weeks, the bumper is sitting on a shelf, making this at least a 10 to 12 week process AFTER what they did the first time.
I pulled the plug and retrieved my car on July 26, 62 days after I picked it up the first time and 47 days after they had the car the second time.
